Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026. Short version: we do not track you, we do not sell data, and we keep as little as possible.
Who is responsible
Hotpatch Daily (hotpatchdaily.com) is run by a private individual based in Lithuania, who is the data controller for this site. The operator’s full identity is provided on request to anyone exercising their data protection rights. Contact us about anything in this policy at hello@hotpatchdaily.com.
What we collect and why
Visiting the site
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver pages, protect the site against attacks and produce aggregate traffic statistics. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare acts as our processor and keeps such logs only for a short time.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Images from third parties
Some story images may be loaded directly from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com), as their license requires. When that happens your browser connects to Unsplash, which receives your IP address. See the Unsplash privacy policy.
Emailing us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Content production
Stories are drafted with AI services from public news sources. No visitor data is sent to those services.

You can also lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania (VDAI) or the data protection authority where you live.
